Do you need a permit?

Information on wildlife trade, when you need a wildlife trade permit and using wildlife trade permits, is available at http://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/wildlife-trade

Completing your application

To complete this application you will be prompted to provide details on your proposed shipment and include relevant supporting documentation.

Fees are applicable for most permit applications. Your application will not be complete until relevant fees paid via the online payment process linked to your application have been confirmed.

Please note that while all applications are processed as quickly as possible, the timeframe for assessing permit applications may vary based on the volume of applications received. Please allow up to 40 business days for your permit to be processed. Once issued, your permit will be mailed to the postal address nominated in your application.

The collection, access, storage, use and disclosure of personal information provided in your application are governed by the Privacy Act 1988.

Information you provide may be exchanged with other Commonwealth and State agencies for the purposes of administering the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and relevant state/territory or Commonwealth legislation.
