When an application is submitted you will receive confirmation and you can check on the status of the application online.
Once assessment of an application is complete the Department will notify the applicant of the outcome. If an exemption or certification application has been approved the Department will also give notice by publishing the details on the Department’s web site.
If an application has not been granted or refused within 60 days (from when the Department last received information from the applicant) then the application is deemed to have been refused. It is anticipated that most applications will be finalised much sooner than 60 days.
In the event that an application is refused the Department will notify the Applicant in writing.
